How to Make Cheesy Potato Wraps

Wraps are very well known and delicious. Today this is a very easy yet delicious recipe of Cheesy Potato raps. It is very delicious and easy to make, even you can make it from leftover potato - aloo sabzi and roties also. But to make it healthier I tried to add some vegetables and cheese. Even a tangy taste of tomato ketchup is also available in this mouth watering recipe. And believe me, if sabzi and roti are available it is very quick to assemble it. Just make a simple spread and assemble. Very delicious wraps are ready to eat. It tastes very nice when cold, so from my point of view, it is a very good option for kids lunch box also.




Preparation time - 5 to 10 minutes
Cooking time - 10 to 15 minutes
Makes - 4 wraps

Ingredients to make Cheesy Potato Wraps:

For wraps:

4 nos roties

For stuffing:

3 to 4 potatoes
2 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin - coriander powder
A pinch garam masalo
1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander
Salt to taste

For spread:

2 tablespoon hung curd
2 tablespoon cheese spread
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
2 to 3 tablespoon tomato ketchup
(you may use chilli tomato ketchup also.)
Salt to taste
3 tablespoon grated and pressed cucumber
2 tablespoon grated carrot
1 teaspoon finely chopped coriander leaves

For salad:

1/4 cup thin sliced capsicum
1/4 cup thin sliced tomatoes
1/4 cup thin chopped cabbage
1 onion thin sliced
Salt to taste
A pinch black pepper powder

2 to 3 cheese cubes grated
2 tablespoon butter

To serve with:

Tomato ketchup
Thin sliced cabbage
Thin sliced beetroot
Thin sliced onion

Method to make Cheesy Potato Wraps:

For stuffing:

  • Wash and chop potatoes in the shape of french fries with skin.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. When they crackle add turmeric powder and potatoes to it. Add salt and mix well. 
  • Cook covered for 3 to 4 minutes. When potatoes are cooked properly add other spices and again mix well. Add coriander and keep a side to cool.

For spread:

  • Hang curd for minimum 1 hour. 
  • Grated cucumber and carrot with the thin grater. Press and drain excess water from cucumber, keep aside.
  • Mix all ingredients of salad in a big mixing bowl and keep aside.

For salad: 

  • Mix all ingredients of salad and keep in a refrigerator.

How to assemble Cheesy Potato Wraps: 

  • Spread some butter on a roti and then apply above spread over it. 
  • Now place some potato stuffing over it and then spread some salad and grated cheese on it. 
  • Now roll it tightly and yes delicious and healthy Cheesy Potato Wraps are ready to serve. Serve it with tomato ketchup.
