Rakshabandhan - Rakhi Special Recipe Double Chocolate Delight

Rakshabandhan has known as Rakhi also. This is a festival to pay homage sacred and an unconditional bond between brothers and sisters. It is celebrated on full moon day of the month Shravan.

On this festival sister ties a colourful rakhi on the wrist of her brother as the symbol of love. And offer some sweet to him.For this special occasion, this is a special recipe to treat your beloved brother.

This is a very quick and easy recipe. I tried to make it delicious but with fewer efforts and calories. So enjoy the recipe of Double Chocolate delight.


Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 2 minutes

Ingredients to make Double Chocolate Delight:

100 grams sweet biscuits
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon drinking chocolate powder
1 tablespoon fresh cream
1/4 teaspoon coffee powder
Milk as needed
2 to 3 tablespoon roasted chopped nuts
( I used almonds, cashews and walnuts)

For upper layer:

3 tablespoon  grated dark chocolate
1 tablespoon grated sweet chocolate
2 to 3 teaspoon milk or water

For garnishing:

Chocolate vermicelli
Color vermicelli

Method to make Double Chocolate Delight:

For base:

  • Crush cookies in chilli cutter or chopper.
  • Mix all ingredients in a big bowl and make semi-soft dough from it. 
  • Place it on a greased tray and make a smooth and even surface. 
  • Keep aside for minimum 20 minutes.

For upper layer: 

  • In a microwave, safe bowl add dark chocolate and milk chocolate. Cook for 30 seconds or till it melts.
  • Mix well and add some water or milk, again whisk properly to make the pouring consistency.

How to assemble: 

  • Pour liquid chocolate over the base and sprinkle vermicelli over it. 
  • Press slightly and  keep in a refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Cut in desired shape and size.
  • Mouthwatering Double Chocolate Delight is ready to serve.
