How to Make Cheese Tomato Upma

In the earlier recipe, we learn abut the making of upma, baked bread upma and tomato upma. But now it's time for yummy cheesy Cheese Tomato Upma. In fact, this recipe can attract kids as well as youngsters also. Because they like cheese in each and every recipe. So kids and mum enjoy this homemade recipe. I tried to make it cheese and healthy also by adding some vegetables. It looks very attractive also. I think it's the good option for kids lunch box, breakfast and of course, anytime snacks also. So try this delicious cheese recipe of cheese tomato upma today.



Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 15 minutes
Serves - 4 person

Ingredients to make Cheese Tomato Upma:

2 cup sooji - semolina
4 table spoon oil
1 tea spoon mustard seeds
1 tea spoon urad dal
2 tea spoon cashew pieces
2 onions finely chopped
1/2 cup tomato pure
1/4 cup boiled green peas
2 1/2 cup water
Salt to taste
1 1/2 tale spoon crushed green chillies
1 tea spoon crushed ginger
10 - 12 curry leaves
1 table spoon cheese spread

For garnishing:

Finely chopped coriander
Grated cheese

Method to make Cheese Tomato Upma:

  • Take oil in a pan, add mustard seed in it. When it crackles add curry leaves, cashew pieces and urad dal. Now add chilly and ginger. Cook for 1/2 minute. 
  • Now add onion and stir fry till transparent. Add green peas and semolina in it. Roast till light brown. When semolina is roasted properly add tomato pulp and water. Cook properly.
  • When semolina is cooked add salt to taste.
  • Hot and healthy Cheese Tomato Upma is ready to serve. 
  • Garnish it with coriander leaves and grated cheese. Serve with coconut chutney.
