Lemon is also known as limbu, lime, nimbu, citrus lemon, limboo and sour lime also. This is a commonly available sour and juicy fruit. It is round and green or yellow in colour. We are often to use lemon grass, lemon juice, lemon rind, lemon slice or lemon wedges. Only fresh lemon with nice fragrance should be taken. Green lemon will give very nice fragrance and taste also. Buy a lemon with thinner skin it will be more juicy. Never purchase blemished or bruised lemon with rotten smell.

Even lemon skin is used for garnishing in deserts and cocktails. Lemon can be stored in refrigerator in air tight container for 15 to 20 days. Any time lemon can be used for tangy taste. We are using lemon in Indian food frequently because Indian - Gujarati food is suppose to be sweet and tangy.
