One more chaat recipe!!! I love chaats. Earlier we made so many chaat recipes. some of them are Idli chaat, Tikki Chhole, Aloo tikki, Khasta kachori, Crispi Khasta kachori, Pani puri, Sev puri, Delhi Chaat and last but not the list Bhel. After all this mouthwatering homemade recipe now it's time for super delicious Papdi Chaat. And if papdi/crispies are ready it will be very easy to assemble. But I tried to make different crispies this time and that was from whole wheat flour.

Street Food Symphony: Build Your Own Explosively Flavorful Papdi Chaat


Preparation time - 5 to 7 minutes
Cooking time - 15 to 20 minutes

Ingredients to make Papdi Chaat:

For papdi:

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup refined flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1/4 cup semolina
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon pepper powder
2 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon melted ghee

Oil for frying

For Papdi Chaat:

1 to 1 1/2 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
Salt to taste
Whisked curd
Sweet chutney
Green chutney
Garlic chutney
Sev

For garnishing:

Coriander 
Chaat masalo
Pomegranate(opt.)



Method to make Papdi Chaat:

For Papdi:

  • Mix all ingredients of papdi excluding oil for frying. Make semi-soft dough from it.
  • Rest for 10 minutes and then make equal small balls from it.
  • Roll medium thin puri and pick them.
  • Fry them at slow flame until crisp. Drain on an absorbent kitchen tissue.
  • Let them cool and store in airtight container.

How to assemble:

  • Add salt and pepper powder to mashed potatoes.
  • Place some papdies on serving plate and place a small amount of mashed potatoes over them. 
  • Now it's time to cover it with whisked curd. And then spread required sweet chutney, green chutney and garlic chutney. 
  • Cover with sev. And now garnish with pomegranate(opt.) and coriander.
  • At last sprinkle some chaat masalo.
  • That's it over superdelicious Papdi Chaat is ready.
