How to Make Cool Cucumber Raita With Masala Crispy

Recipe by Naiya Sheth. Again a cooool Summer recipe is here to beat summer. In  this cool summer recipe both cool ingredients like cucumber and curd is used. And for a change it is served with masala crispy or salted cookies to cut cooking time. Make it any time and serve as starter or a as a part of cool dinner during this summer. It can be served with pita bread or bread sticks also. So enjoy the recipe of Cool Cucumber Raita With Masala Crispy.



Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 25 to 30 minutes

Ingredients to make Cool Cucumber Raita With Masala Crispy:

For Cucumber Raita:

1/4 cup hung curd
2 table spoon cheese spread
1 tea spoon sugar
1/4 cup grated cucumber
2 table spoon grated carrots
1 table spoon finely chopped coriander
Salt to taste
1/2 tea spoon chilli flacks
1/4 tea spoon very finely chopped green chillies


For Masala Crispy:

1 cup refined flour
1/4 cup semolina
Salt to taste
1/2 tea spoon chilli flacks
1/2 tea spoon oregano
1/4 tea spoon black pepper powder
1 1/2 table spoon oil

Oil for frying

To serve with:

Salted cookies

Method to Make Cool Cucumber Raita with Masala Crispy:

For Raita:

  • Hang curd for minimum 1 hour. Grate and press cucumber to remove excess water.
  • Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl and keep in refrigerator to chill.

For Masala Crispy:

  • Make stiff dough from the ingredients of masala crispy. 
  • Keep a side covered for minimum 15 minutes. Knead well.
  • Make equal size balls from it and roll small puries from them.
  • Prick and fry in hot oil at slow flame till light pink in colour.
  • When cool store in air tight container.
  • At the time of serving serve cool cucumber raita with masala crispy and salted cookies
  • For a change kasuri methi also can be added.
