Delctable Badam Halwa - A classic Indian dessert - How to Make Badam Halwa
As we all know almonds are known as brain food. They are rich in protein, iron and vitamin B2, But some how children don't like to have it.
So I tried to make this badam halwa - almond halwa at home to get more nutritions and health. I think it's very easy to make it at home. I am sure kids will love to have this.
Normally we makes it in non stick pan but to make it quick I tried to make it in microwave. So try this recipe of Badam Halwa for kids as well as elders also.
Preparation time - 15 to 20 minutes
Cooking time - 10 to 12 minutes

Ingredients to Make Badam Halwa:
1 cup blanches almonds
70 ml. milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tea spoon cardamom powder
1/4 cup ghee
For garnishing:
sliced almonds
Sliced pistachio
Cardamom seeds
Saffron
Method to make Badam Halwa:
- Soak almond in lukewarm water for 15 minutes and then discard the skin from them.
- Make smooth pure from it in blender. Add some milk when needed.
- Heat ghee in microwave proof bowl. Take big bowl.
- Add almond pure to it and cook till golden brown in colour.
- Add hot milk to it and cook for 2 minutes.
- Now add sugar and cardamom powder to it and cook till ghee appears at the sides. Stir occasionally.
- When ready transfer to serving bowl and garnish with sliced almonds, sliced pistachio and cardamom seeds.
