Kheer is a very well known part of Indian cousin. As we all know apple is a very good for health. Actually we are going to make kheer from this very delicious fruit - apple. In earlier recipe we made apple kheer on flame. In this home made recipe of apple kheer I tried to make it easy and quick. So I tried to make it in microwave. And you won't believe it tastes very nice with low efforts and calories. To cut down calories, time and efforts I used corn flour instead of boiling. But it's not compromise in taste.

Ingredients to make Apple Kheer in Microwave:
1 big apple peeled and grated
300 ml milk (I used low fat milk)
2 tea spoon corn flour
1 1/2 to 2 table spoon sugar
A pinch cardamom powder
or
1 to 2 drops vanilla essence
4 to 5 Chopped roasted almonds chopped
For garnishing:
Roasted almonds
Method to make Apple Kheer in Microwave:
- In a big microwave safe bowl mix milk, corn flour, and sugar. Cook for 3 minutes at MICRO HI.
- Now add grated apple and again cook for 3 minutes.
- After that add cardamom powder or vanilla essence and mix well. Cook for 1 minute.
- At last add roasted almond and let come to room temperature.
- Keep in refrigerator to chill.
- At the time of serving garnish with almonds.
- Apple kheer can be served hot also. But I like to have it chilled.
