This is an unusual noodles base snack for kids and youngsters. Chinese bread pakoda is an ideal mini meal with superb taste of schezwan sauce. In this home made Chinese recipe lots of vegetables and fresh paneer is used to make it healthy. I think it's an ideal snack for any time hunger. Even good option for kitty party menu also. Ingredients to make Chinese Bead Pakoda:
For outer layer:
14 bread slices1/2 cup milk
For stuffing:
1/2 cup boiled noodles (may be wheat)
2 spring onion finely chopped
1/4 capsicum finely chopped
2 table spoon oil
2 table spoon grated cabbage
1/4 cup grated cabbage
1/2 cup fresh paneer - cottage cheese finely chopped
1 1/4 tea spoon schezwan sauce
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
To serve with:
Tomato ketch up
Method to make Chinese Bread Pakoda:
For outer layer:
- Remove sides from bread and crumble them. Add milk to it and make semi soft dough from it.
- Keep a side covered.
For stuffing:
- Heat oil in a pan and add spring onion, capsicum, carrot and cabbage to it. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add noodles and paneer to it and again cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
- At last add schezwan sauce and salt to it. Mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Let it cool at room temperature.
How to assemble:
- Divide bread dough and stuffing in to equal balls
- Take a portion of dough on palm and flatten it, place a portion of stuffing over it and seal it properly. Take some water or milk to seal properly.
- Repeat the same for remaining.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry them at medium flame till light brown in colour.
- When ready remove and drain over absorbent tissue.
- Serve hot Chinese Bread Pakoda with tomato ketch up.
