Green Gravy Recipe - How to Make Green Gravy at Home

Learn how to make Green Gravy. In earlier recipe we learn about making and storing red gravy and white gravy. But now it's winter means time for healthy green gravy. As all another gravy it can be stored but not for long time. It can be used with paneer and vegetables also. Even it can be used for combination of paneer and vegetables also. 

Preparation time - 5 to 7 minutes
Cooking time - 10 minutes

Ingredients to Make Green Gravy

  • 2 to 3 boiled onion
  • 3 to 4 green chillies
  • 1 tea spoon ginger paste
  • 1 tea spoon garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 2 table spoon poppy seeds (khas khas)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 table spoon oil
  • 1 table spoon butter
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tea spoon garam masalo
  • 1 tea spoon sugar
  • 1 tea spoon coriander powder
  • 1 tea spoon cumin powder

Method to Make Green Gravy

  • Soak poppy seeds in warm milk for 30 minutes.
  • In a mixture jar take boiled onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic, coriander, spinach, curd and poppy seeds mixture. Crush them to smooth paste.
  • In a pan heat 1 table spoon oil and 1 table spoon butter. 
  • Now add above green gravy to it and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add spices to it. 
  • Keep a side. Let it cool at room temperature.
  • Healthy and yummy Green Gravy is ready to store in deep freezer.
