White Gravy Recipe: How to make White Gravy

Learn how to make White Gravy. In earlier recipe we learn about making of very popular red gravy. But some how it is spicy so, here it's a home made recipe for basic white gravy.

It is bland in taste so good for little kids. Khoya kaju, Nav
ratne korm and even paneer in white gravy can be made by this gravy. If white gravy is ready it is very easy to make  above vegetable. So make and store  in deep freezer to make cooking quick.


White Gravy Recipe

Preparation time - 15 minutes
Cooking time - 20 to 25 minutes
Makes - 4 cups (Approx.)

Ingredients to make White Gravy

  • 3 to 4 onions
  • 3 table spoon cashew nuts
  • 3 table spoon garlic paste
  • 2 table spoon ginger paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 cloves
  • 2 cup curd
  • 4 to 5 cardamom
  • 3 green chillies
  • 2 table spoon fresh cream
  • 3 table spoon oil
  • 1 table spoon ghee - clarified butter
  • Salt to taste
 

Method to make White Gravy

  • In a microwave proof bowl add chopped onion and water. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or till onions are cooked properly. 
  • When onions are cooked properly add cashews and green chillies to it, keep a side covered. Let it cool at room temperature.
  • When cool crush to fine paste.
  • In a pan heat oil and ghee. Now add bay leaves, cardamom and cloves. Cook for 1 minutes and add ginger garlic paste to it.
  • Again  cook for 1 to 2 minutes and add above onion paste to it. Cook properly for 3 to 4 minutes. 
  • Now add cud and salt to it. Cook again. Stir continuously. 
  • At last add fresh cream and remove from flame. 
  • Rich and creamy White gravy is ready to store. Store in air tight container in refrigerator.
