How to Make Yoghurt Sandwich

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make yoghurt sandwich. This is a very healthy but creamy mild taste sandwich. Yoghurt Sandwich is a perfect combination of yoghurt and grated vegetables. It's a 2 layer sandwich with brown bread. Means a yummy and easy recipe which is very quick to make, if green chutney and hung curd is ready it is very quick and easy to assemble it.

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - nil
Makes 4 sandwiches

Ingredients to make Yoghurt Sandwich:

12 slices of brown or multi grain bread
Butter as needed
Curd of 700 ml. milk
1 cup grated carrot
4 table spoon cheese spread
Salt to taste
1 tea spoon crushed mustard seeds
1 cup grated cucumber
4 to 5 table spoon green chutney
2 table spoon tomato ketch up

Method to make Yoghurt Sandwich:

  • Hang curd for 1 1/2 to 2 hours in refrigerator.
  • Wash, peel and grate carrot and cucumber in different bowl.
  • Add salt to them and keep a side for 5 minutes.
  • In a mixture jar take hung curd, cheese spread, tomato ketch up and crushed mustard seeds.
  • Press grated carrot to remove excess salted water and mix it with above mixture. Keep a side.
  • In another bowl take green chutney and add pressed cucumber to it, mix well and keep aside. 
  • Apply some butter over a slice of bread and then spread carrot mixture over it. Now again apply some butter over a bread slice on both sides and keep it over the mixture. Again spread chutney mixture over it and then cover with buttered slice.
  • Repeat the same for remaining.
  • Cover it with wet cloth and keep in refrigerator for 4 to 5 minutes. 
  • Cut in triangular shape. 
  • Yummy, cool yoghurt sandwich is ready to serve. Serve it with potato chips, hot mocha coffee or cold coffee.
