How to Make Chocolate Vanilla Barfi

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Chocolate Vanilla Barfi. As I mention earlier our whole family is a chocolate lover family. So it is obvious to make any chocolaty dish even once or twice a weak. Here it's a home-made recipe for Chocolate Vanilla Barfi. It is very easy and mouthwatering recipe. Even it can be prepared a day before so that it may be convenient also. It is appropriate for this festival season also. Because it can be taken in fasts also. 

Preparation time 10 minutes
Cooking time - 20 minutes

Ingredients to make Chocolate Vanilla Barfi: 

For chocolate layer:

150 grams khoya-mavo
75 grams sugar
2 table spoon cocoa powder
3 table spoon drinking chocolate powder
Water 45 to 50 ml.

For vanilla layer:

150 grams khoya-mavo
75 grams sugar
Water 45 to 50 ml.
3 to 4 drops vanilla essence

For garnishing:

Thin sliced almonds
       or
Chocolate vermicelli 

Method to make Chocolate Vanilla Barfi:

For vanilla layer:

  • Add sugar and water to a pan and make 2 to 2 1/2 string syrup from it.
  • Dry roast khoya in a non stick pan for 2 minutes and add vanilla essence to it.
  •  Mix sugar syrup and khoya properly and spread it in a greased plate properly.

For chocolate layer:

  • In another pan add sugar and make 2 to 2 1/2 string sugar syrup from it.
  • Dry roast khoya in non stick pan for 2 minutes only. Mix cocoa powder and drinking chocolate powder to it.
  • Mix khoya and sugar syrup to gather properly.
  •  Spread it over the vanilla layer.

How to proceed:

  • Spread almonds or chocolate vermicelli. Press slowly.
  • let it cool at room temperature.
  • When cool cut in desire shape like square or diamond. 
  • Yummy Chocolate Vanilla Barfi is ready to serve.
