How To Make Chola Methi Dhokla

Preparation time – 10 minutes
Soaking time – 7 to 8 hours
Cooking time – 15 to 20 minutes



Ingredients to make Chola Methi Dhokla:

1 cup chola dal – split cow peas
¼ cup yellow mung dal
1 to 1 ½ cups fenugreek leaves – methi leaves
2 table spoon green chili paste
½ tea spoon ginger paste
¼ tea spoon asafodita
3 tea spoon curd
1 tea spoon soda bi carb
1 tea spoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
2 tea spoon oil

Method to make Chola methi dhokla:

(1) Soak chola dal and yellow mung dal for 4 to 5 hours in separate bowls.
(2) Grind them together with very little water and green chilies.
(3) Add asafodota, salt, curd, ginger paste and soda bi carb.
(4) Mix well. Keep a side for 2 to 3 hours.
(5) After that mix fenugreek leaves and soda bi carb, pour the mixture in steamer for 10 to 15 minutes.
(6) Hot and healthy Chola Methi Dhokla is ready to serve. Serve hot with green chutney.
