How to Make Sev Puri

Learn how to make Sev Puri. Another recipe for chaat. This is a homemade recipe for tempting and cool sev puri. A cool welcome to summer. Sev puri is a tempting and cool recipe for an anytime snack. Actually, Sev puri should not have fix recipe. Everyone is having an own recipe for this. As the name indicates it's sev topped on crispies. But here I have tried to take more n more vegetables to make this healthier. And if the crispies are non-fried it can be surely healthy roadside recipe. So enjoy Sev Puri this evening or plan for a cook party menu. 

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - nil
Serves - 4 person

Ingredients to make Sev Puri:

25 to 30 papdi or crispies
3/4 cup boiled and mashed potato
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 to 3/4 cup sweet chutney
1/4 cup green chutney
2 tablespoon garlic chutney
1 tablespoon chaat masala powder

For garnishing:

1 onion finely chopped
1 grated beet root
1 tomato finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
1 cup nylon - fine sev
1 pomegranate seeds

Method to make Sev Puri:
  • Mash boiled potatoes and add salt and red chili powder to it. Mix well.
 How to assemble Sev Puri:
  • Arrange crispies on a serving plate.
  • Put potato mixture over it and spread sweet, green and garlic chutney over it. 
  • Sprinkle onion on it and cover with sev. 
  • Garnish with beet root, tomatoes, pomegranate seeds and coriander leaves.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala powder over it.
  • Cool and tempting Sev Puri is ready to serve.
