Macaroni

Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Learn how to make delicious homemade macaroni. Bake dishes are very popular now a day. Here it’s a very popular and easy recipe for pineapple macaroni. It is very easy and yet very tasty. Kids will love to have it. In this recipe semolina macaroni is used, so good for health also.




Serves – 6
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time 25 minutes

Ingredients to make Macaroni with pineapple:

Macaroni ( semolina)
:
1 packet
Tinned pineapple
:
4 slices



For white sauce:





Butter
:
3 table spoon
Hard wheat flour (mendo)
:
4 table spoon
Milk
:
1 ¼ cup
Grated cheese 
:
100 gram
Bread crumbs
:
1 table spoon



For garnishing:





Tinned pineapple




Method to make Macaroni:

1. For boiling macaroni, soak it for half an hour in water. Then add it to boiling water, Add some salt and 1 teaspoon of oil. When cooked wash with tap water and keep aside.

2. Make a white sauce from all the ingredients of white sauce, don’t add bread crumbs.

3. Mix white sauce and boiled macaroni together, add tinned pineapple in it and mix well.

4. Pour the mixture into an oven proof bowl, apply grated cheese over it. Sprinkle bread crumbs and add some butter to it. Put some pineapple pieces for garnishing. Sprinkle 1 to 2 teaspoons of milk over it.

5. Bake in a preheated oven for 10 - 15 minutes or till the cheese turns crispy.(heat only upper grill).

6. Serve piping hot macaroni with tomato sauce.


* You can avoid pineapple if desired.
