Learn, how to make tempting Indian traditional sweet - Halwa. Normally Halwa is Indian traditional sweet, made from wheat flour. Enjoy serving up in winter. In this healthy homemade recipe, I used jaggery to make it healthier.

Ingredients to make Halwa:
Ghee - clarified butter

Semolina (sooji)

Method to make Halwa:
- Add ghee in a non-stick or thick bottom karhai. Add sooji and wheat flour to it and roast till light brown in colour.
- Put the jaggery, saffron and water in a pan and bring to boil.
- When flour if ready add hot jaggery water to it and cook well. At this stage add raisins. Stir properly.
- Cook till ghee appears at the sides of karhai.
- Transfer piping hot halwa in serving plate and garnish with sliced almonds.
Tips:
- If coarse wheat flour sooji should be avoided. Both will give the same result.
