Butter Naan



Preparation time - 5 minutes
Cooking time - 5 to 7 minutes
Resting time - minimum 30 minutes 
Makes 2 naan


Ingredients to make Butter Naan:


1/2 cup refined flour
Salt to taste
2 - 3 table spoon curd
100 gram butter
         or
100 ml oil
1/4 tea spoon baking soda
         or
1/4 tea spoon soda bi carb
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 table spoon black sesame seeds
1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves 






Method to make Butter Naan:
  • Mix refined flour, salt, curd, soda, sugar and oil in a plate and Kneed a soft dough from it.
  • Apply little ghee/oil/butter and kneed again. Cover and keep a side for minimum 1/2 an hour. If possible give rest for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Divide the dough into equal portion. Place some. Black sesame seed and coriander ove rolling pinand and place dough balls over it. 
  • Roll ovel naan. If required dust some dry rice flour for making rolling process easy. 
  • Brush water on back side of naan.
  • Heat tava and place water side naan on hoy tave. It will stick on the tava. 
  • Let some bubble appear over it and then place tava upside down on flame to cook upper portion of naan.
  • Make it crispy as needed. Carefully remove naan from tava and the apply butter on upper portion of the naan. 
  • Apply butter on the upper surface of the naan.
  • Repeat the process for the rest.
  • Serve hot Butter Naan immediately with vegetable. 
Tips:
  • You can kneed dough with milk also.
  • For making naan in tandoor apply little water on the lower side of naan and stick it to tandoor's wall.
