Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Kulcha. Here it's a another bread verity we can serve with vegetables or curry. Here it's a home made verity for soft and healthy Kulcha.
Preparation time - 2 minutes
Cooking time - 20 minutes
Makes 5 to 6 Kulchas
Ingredients to make Kulcha:
1/2 tea spoon dry yeast
1/4 tea spoon sugar
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup soybean flour
Salt to taste
1/4 cup finely chopped mint leaves
Rice flour for dusting
Butter
Method to make Kucha:
Preparation time - 2 minutes

Ingredients to make Kulcha:
1/2 tea spoon dry yeast
1/4 tea spoon sugar
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/4 cup soybean flour
Salt to taste
1/4 cup finely chopped mint leaves
Rice flour for dusting
Butter
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in 2 to 3 table spoon lukewarm water and keep a side for 10 minutes.
- Mix both flours, mint leaves and salt in another bowl.
- After 10 minutes add the yeast mixture to flour mixture and make soft dough from it. Use normal water as required. Make soft and smooth dough by kneading for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Cover it with wet muslin cloth and leave aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Press the dough tightly and remove the air.
- Divide the dough in equal portions and roll kulcha with the help of dry rice flour.
- Cook it on the tava - griddle at medium flame by using butter on both the sides, till both sides are golden brown. Kulcha should puff like phulkas.
- Repeat the process for remaining.
- Serve hot kulcha with vegetable or curry.
