Preparation time - 10 minutes 

Cooking time - 5 minutes 

Ingredients to make Veggie-Loaded Makhana Bhel:

For makhana:

2 cups makhana

2 tablespoons ghee

I always use cow ghee

Rock salt to raste

Chat masala as per taste 

1 teaspoon freshly ground black peppers 

For bhel:

3 to 4 tablespoons imli chutney 

2 tablespoons chopped cucumber 

2 tablespoons chopped and de seeded tomato 

2 to 3 teaspoon green chutney 

2 to 3 teaspoon all in one chutney 

1 teaspoon garlic chutney (opt)

1/4 cup chopped onions 

2 tablespoons boiled sweet corn

1/4 cup mix coloured bell pepper 

3 tablespoons pomegranate seeds 

2 tablespoons grated beetroot 

For garnishing: 

Chopped coriander leaves

Method to make Veggie-Loaded Makhana Bhel:

For makhana:

  • Heat ghee in a pan and add rock salt and freshly ground black peppers.  Roast until crisp.
  • Let it cool at room temperature. 

For bhel:

  • Add makhana in a bowl. 
  • Add all vegetables in it and mix well.
  • Now its time to add chutneys to it. You can adjust the proportion of chutney as per taste. Mix property.  
  • Transfer the bhel in serving plate. Sprinkle chat masala over it and garnish with sev and coriander leaves.
