A handful of fresh cilantro leaves
Spoon full of roasted sesame seeds
Method to make Chili Paneer:
For marinating paneer:
· In a
mixing bowl, combine corn flour, all-purpose flour, ginger-garlic paste, red
chili powder, black pepper powder, salt, soy sauce, and water to create a
smooth paste.
· Toss
the paneer cubes into it. Make sure they are evenly coated. Rest for at least
15-20 minutes.
For frying the Marinated Paneer:
· Heat
a tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
· Add
the marinated paneer cubes to the pan and cook until they turn golden brown and
crispy on all sides. Set them aside.
For Preparing the Chili Paneer Sauce:
In the same pan, add another tablespoon of oil and sauté the chopped onions until they become translucent.
· Stir
in the ginger-garlic paste and sliced green chilies, cooking for a minute or
until the raw smell disappears.
· Now,
add soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, red chili powder, sugar
and salt. Stir everything together until well combined and the sauce thickens
slightly.
· Gently
add the fried paneer cubes and bell pepper cubes to the sauce. Toss them well,
ensuring that the paneer and veggies are coated evenly with the chili sauce.
· Transfer
the chili paneer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped spring onions and
cilantro leaves.
· Serve
hot as an appetizer or as a side dish with steamed rice or noodles.
