Peanut Chat/Salad recipe
This is a recipe of peanut chat, it is known as boiled peanut salad or groundnut chat also. As the recipe name indicates, this is a very interesting & mouthwatering recipe of chat/salad with boiled peanut as a main ingredient. It is easy and very delicious to make this chat/salad. As it is made from boiled peanuts & lots of vegetables, we can consider it as a protein powerhouse. It is prepared by mixing boiled peanuts with some spices & finely chopped vegetables. It can be considered as a healthy snack for anytime hunger. Even you can add this as a side dish with your meal as a dinner/lunch.
As we know that this recipe contains peanuts as a main ingredient, let’s have a look at the health benefits of peanuts. They are rich in protein, fat and fiber. Ingredients to make Peanut Chat/Salad recipe:
1 cup raw peanuts
¼ cup finely chopped onion
¼ cup finely chopped cucumber
3 tablespoon finely chopped capsicum
2 tablespoon finely chopped de seeded tomatoes
2 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander
1 tablespoon freshly chopped mint
3 tablespoon pomegranate seeds
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon finely chopped green chili
2 teaspoon chat masala
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method to make Peanut Chat/Salad:
• Wash and soak peanut in boiling water for minimum 30 minutes.
• Drain extra water from it and add it to a big mixing bowl.
• Now it’s time to add all vegetables & spices to it.
• Mix well and keep in refrigerator for 5 to 10 minutes.
• Serve cold peanut chat/salad as a snack or a part of a meal.
Tips:
You can add and omit any vegetables and spices as per your choice.
