Non fried sabudana vada recipe in appam maker
Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Savan festivals are here. And it's time for some more delicious farali recipes. Today we will make sabudana vada. Traditionally this is a fried recipe. But during the ekadashi, I tried to make it in appam maker. And the result was awesome. So I think this is a good option to have farali sabudana vada without guilt. Enjoy cooking!

Ingredients to make Non-Fried Sabudana vada in Appam Maker:
1/2 cup raw sabudana
2 potatoes boiled and grated
2 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds
2 tablespoon roasted and roughly crushed peanuts
1 1/2 to 2 tablespoon finely chopped green chilies
2 to 3 tablespoon finely chopped coriander
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon caster sugar
Aara lot for binding if needed
Oil for greasing
Method to make Non-Fried Sabudana vada in Appam Maker:
- In a broad vessel take washed sabudana. Add 1/2 cup water and few drops of cooking oil in it and mix well.
- Rest for 1 hour covered. Again stir carefully and sprinkle some water if needed. Cover and rest for 1 hour again.
- After that place soaked sabudana in a clean muslin cloth to remove excess moisture.
- IN another vessel add grated potatoes, sabudana, and all other ingredients excluding oil.
- Mix well and make small balls from it.
