Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Filter coffee is basically South Indian coffee which is made from dark roasted coffee beans and chicory.It is sweet and milky coffee, especially popular in the southern states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
So today during this rainy season we are going to make very popular South Indian Filter Coffee.

Ingredients to make Filter Coffee:
3 table spoon coffee powder
1/2 cup water
2 cups milk
(I used skimmed milk)
2 table spoon sugar
Method to make Filter Coffee:
- Put coffee powder in a strainer and strain carefully to a container or a sauce pan.
- In another pan bring water to rolling boil and pour it over the coffee powder.
- Cover it with a lead and keep a side for 10 minutes.Our coffee decoction is ready.
- Now boil milk and add sugar to it.
- Pour required decoction to serving cup and add milk to it.
- Add sugar and decoction as per the taste.
- Garnish with coffee powder.(opt.)
- Hot and delicious Filter Coffee is ready to serve.
