In earlier recipe we saw many recipes of Idlies. But this time I am sure you will get surprise by the heading. Idli and cheese! 
 
But that's true, yesterday when I was making same simple idli, sambhar and coconut chutney I got an idea to make this cheese chilli garlic idli
 
And it was very nice in taste. So I thought that may be a good option for some spicy and healthy breakfast. 
 
This recipe can be combined with cheese spinach idli and normal idli for colourful dish. Cheese portion can be added or omitted as per taste. It tastes very nice with coconut chutney. So enjoy the recipe of cheese chilli garlic idli.


Chilli Garlic Idli  Recipe


Preparation time - 5 to 7 minutes
Steaming time - 10 to 12 minutes
Makes - 8 idlies
 

Ingredients to Make Cheese Chilli Garlic Idli

  • 2 cups idli batter
  • 1 to 1 1/2 tea spoon garlic chutney
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 to 4 cubes grated cheese
  • 2 table spoon cheese spread
  • 1 table spoon red chilli powder
  • Oil for greasing idli mould

For garnishing:

  • Chilli flacks

To serve with:

 

Method to Make Cheese Chilli Garlic Idli

  • Dilute garlic chutney with some water and mix it with idli batter.
  • Add salt, red chilli powder and cheese spread to it and mix well.
  • Pore some idli batter to greased idli mould and spread grated cheese over it. At last sprinkle some chilli flacks over it.
  • Steam it in hot steamer till idlies are ready. When ready remove from mould and serve piping hot Cheese Chilli Garlic Idli with coconut chutney.
