Ingredients to male Naan:
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
250 grams refined flour
1/2 tea spoon baking powder
Salt to taste
Oil for kneading
Oil for kneading
1 table spoon kalonji seeds (onion seeds)
Butter to apply
Method to make Naan:
- Heat milk till boiling temperature. Add baking powder to it and keep a side for 2 minutes.
- Mean while add salt to refined flour and strain for 2 times.
- Add above milk to it and make semi soft dough from it. Add warm water if needed.
- Knead the dough properly with oil and rest for minimum 4 to 5 hours at warm place.
- After that heat griddle - tavi and make equal size balls from dough. Roll a oblong naan from it and apply some kalonji and coriander to it. Press slowly and roast it on griddle.
- When ready remove and apply some butter over it.
- Repeat the same for remaining.
- Hot and soft naan is ready to serve.
- It can be baked in O.T.G or in tandoor also. Even electric tandoor at home can also work as original tandoor.
