Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Learn how to make Moong Dal Toast. Traditionally we are used to make moong dal pakodas. But in this home made recipe the better of moong dal pakoda is used over bread slice. Means no more frying and yet a yummy recipe. So diet concious people enjoy this mouth watering recipe of moong dal toast. Even left over better of moong dal pakoda can be used. It can be served as break fast and snacks also.

Ingredients to make Moong Dal Toast:
2 cups yellow moong dal
3 to 4 tea spoon green chillies - finely chopped
2 table spoon gram flour
1 tea spoon grated ginger
1 onion finely chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
A pinch baking powder (opt.)
Salt to taste
8 bread slices
4 to 5 table spoon oil
To serve with:
Tomato ketch up
Method to make Moong Dal Toast:
- Wash and soak yellow moong dal for 2 to 3 hours.
- Make a fine paste to it and keep a side for 30 minutes.
- Add salt, onion, green chillies, ginger, gram flour, coriander and baking powder to it.
- Mix well.
- On a bread slice apply some mixture with spoon. Turn it down on non stick griddle - tavi and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Spread some oil around.
- Carefully turn and make it crisp.
- When ready remove and cut in to triangle shape.
- Hot and mouthwatering Mung Dal Toast is ready to serve. Serve it with tomato ketch up.
