How to Make Date Banana Shake

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Date Banana Shake. This is a home made healthy recipe for Date Banana Shake. A complete stomach filler and rich healthy milk shake. As we know date as a fruit is affluent in natural fibres. They are very rich in vitamins, minerals, calcium, iron, potassium, copper etc. And on the other hand banana is full of calcium and it can lower blood pressure. It can prevent cancer. So it is a very good health drink for kids also. It can be taken for break fast or as a full meal at the time of fasts. In India during this season there are lots of fasts, so enjoy this shake with or without fast.


Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 1 minutes
Serves - 4 glasses

Ingredients to make Date Banana Shake:

1 cup seedless dates
2 bananas
4 cups chilled milk

For garnishing:

Chopped dates
Banana slices

Method to make Date Banana Shake:

  • Wash and chop dates in very small pieces.
  • In a pan heat 1/2 cup milk and add chopped dates to it. Keep a side for minimum 15 minutes.
  • In a mixture jar add chopped banana, milk and date mixture and churn properly. 
  • Strain if required. 
  • For serving pour the mixture in a glass and garnish with chopped date and sliced banana.
  • Serve healthy Date Banana Shake chilled.

Tips:

  • Dates and bananas contains lots of natural sugar so, extra sugar is not required.
  • Ice cubes can be used if chilled milk is not available. But in that case the shake will be thinner.
