How to Make Cucumber Raita

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Cucumber Raita. This is a home made recipe for Mint flavoured uncooked Cucumber Raita. As we all knows cucumber - known as kakdi is good in nutrition and good for our skin. Because it contains lots of water with vitamin c and caffeic acid which helps to soothe skin irritation and reduce swelling. This recipe can be served with rice, paratha, or pakodas.


Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - nil

Ingredients to make Cucumber Raita:

1 cup hung curd
1 tea spoon sugar
1 green chilly finely chopped
1 tea spoon freshly chopped mint leaves
Salt to taste
1 tea spoon roasted cumin powder

Method to make Cucumber Raita:

  • Grate cucumber and remove extra water from it.
  • Whisk curd and add sugar, salt, green chilly and cumin powder to it. 
  • Add cucumber and mint leaves and mix well. 
  • Serve chilled Cucumber Raita with roti, paratha or pakoda.
