How to Make Shahi Raita

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Shahi Raita. In Indian cuisine raita plays an important roll. There are different types of raita in our menu. From them today we are making Shahi Raita. This delicious raita contains lots of fruits and dry fruits. Means good in taste and health also.

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - nil

Ingredients to make Shahi Raita:

1 cup hung curd
1/2 cup tinned pineapple - chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped apple
1/2 cup finely chopped ripe mango
1/2 cup finely chopped banana
1/4 cup roasted and chopped dry fruits
(cashews, almonds, walnuts and raisins)
1 to 2 table spoon sugar
A pinch salt
1/4 tea spoon roasted cumin powder

For garnishing:


Method to make Shahi Raita:

  • Hang curd for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Soak raisins in lukewarm water.
  • Add sugar and salt to curd and whisk by hand whisker properly.
  • Add chopped fruits and dry fruits to curd mixture properly.
  • Add cumin powder and mix well.
  • Garnish with cherry.
  • Chilled Shahi Raita will be more delicious.
