How to Make Bundi Raita

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Bundi Raita. This is a hone made recipe which can be used as stomach filler between two meals or as a single meal. Bundi Raita is a home made recipe which we likes a lot. My son even likes to have it once in a month. Earlier we learn about making of Bundi Ladu. It is a sweet version of masala bundi.If masala bundi is ready it is very easy and quick to make it. Just mix and eat. 



Preparation time - 10 minutes

Cooking time - 15 minutes

Ingredients to make Bundi Raita:

For Bundi:

1 cup gram flour
1 cup water
Salt to taste 
1 tea spoon red chilli powder
Oil for frying

For Raita:

1 cup hung curd
1 1/2 table spoon sugar
3/4 cup bundi
Salt to taste

For garnishing: 

Chopped coriander leaves
Roasted cumin powder

Method to make Bundi Raita: 

For bundi:

  • Mix gram flour and water together and make bater.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry bundi in it with the help of holed spoon. Fry at slow flame till crisp. When ready it will appear on the upper surface of the oil. 
  • When ready remove from oil and  drain over absorbent tissue.
  • Sprinkle salt and red chili powder over it.
  • Repeat the same for remaining.

How to assemble Bundi Raita:

  • Hang curd for 1 hour. Add salt and sugar in it and whisk properly.
  • At the time of serving add bundi to it and mix properly.
  • Garnish Bundi Raita with chopped coriander leaves and roasted cumin powder.
