How to make Baked Bread Upma

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Baked Bread Upma. As we all know breakfast is must for everyone. Healthy and testy breakfast is very necessary. So here it's a homemade healthy breakfast recipe for Baked Bread Upma. It contains lots of vegetables also.


Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 15 minutes
Serves - 4 person


Ingredients to make Baked Bread Upma:


8 slices bread
2 onion finely chopped

2 tomatoes finely chopped
2 tea spoon chopped green chili
1/4 cup boiled green peas
1/4 cup boiled sweet corn
1/4 cup par boiled carrot finely chopped
1/4 cup par boiled french beans finely chopped
1/2 small capsicum finely chopped 
Salt to taste
1 table spoon butter
1 table spoon oil
4 cubes grated cheese


To serve with:


Tomato ketch up


Method to make Baked bread upma:
  • Remove sides from bread. Make bread crumbs from fresh bread. Keep aside.
  • In another pan heat oil and butter, when butter melts add green chili and onion. Fry for 2 minutes. When cooked add boiled and par boiled vegetables.
  • Now add fresh bread crumbs and add salt to taste. 
  • Add 2 grated cheese cubes, and mix well.
  • Remove from flame when cheese melts.
  • Pour the mixture in a baking dish and cover with remaining grated cheese.
  • Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or till cheese turns light brown at 180`c temp. in preheated oven.
  • Hot and healthy Baked Bread Upma is ready to serve. Serve with tomato ketch up.
Tips to make Baked Bread Upma more attractive and healthy:
  • Use small bowl for individual servings. 
  • Garnish with chopped coriander or chopped tomatoes.
  • Add or avoid vegetables as per requirement.
