Ingredients to make Date Cake:
140 gram self rising flour
60 gram margarine
1/4 tea spoon vanilla essence (opt.)
200 gram chopped dates
25 gram cashew
25 gram walnut
2 table spoon caster sugar (opt.)
1/2 can condensed milk
1 tea spoon baking soda
1/4 tea spoon soda bi carb
1/2 cup water
- Sift flour and baking soda 2 to 3 times.
- Soak chopped dates in 1/2 cup water with soda bi carb.
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. If needed add water.
- Pour the mixture in a silicone cup cake mold or paper cup.
- Place on a turn table and cook for 3 minutes at MICRO HI.
- Yummy and healthy Date Cake is ready to serve.
- For more healthy version you should use black dates.
- As it is a break fast cake don't need to do icing on it. But can be garnished with nuts.
