Preparation time - 20 minutes
Cooking time - 45 minutes
Ingredients to make chocolate cake:
Flour | : | 2 cups |
Powdered sugar | : | ½ cups |
Curd | : | 1 cup |
Cocoa powder | : | 4 table spoons |
Soda bi-carb | : | 2 tea spoon |
Ghee | : | 4 tablespoon |
A pinch of salt | ||
Butter for greasing | ||
Flour for dusting |
Method to make Chocolate Cake:
- Beat the ghee and powdered sugar till light and fluffy.
- Sift the flour,salt,soda and cocoa powder together for 2 -3 times.
- Add the flour mixture to the ghee-sugar mixture,alternating with the curd.
- Grease the oven proof tin with butter and dust it with flour.
- Pour the mixture into the tin and bake it for 40 - 45 minutes at 200.c temp.in preheated oven.
- Insert a toothpick into the centre of the cake,if it comes out clean the cake is ready.
- Let it cool at room temperature on wire rack.
- Make desired icing on chocolate cake after soaking by sugar syrup.
