How to Make Barbecue Sandwich


The taste of barbecue sauce is mouthwatering. And it is very easy to make it at home. By using this delicious barbecue sauce I tried to make a healthy sandwich. With the combination of barbecue sauce I used home made paneer, capsicum and onion with kids special cheese. In that case it's a vary delicious and calcium rich fast food. You may use whole wheat bread also. So try this delicious Barbecue Sandwich as starter, snack or break fast also. Even good option for kids lunch box without grilling.


Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 20 to 25 minutes
Makes - 4 rolls

For Sandwich:

4 slices bread
Butter as needed
2 cubes of grated cheese

For barbecue sauce:

3 table spoon oil
2 onion chopped
4 cloves garlic
1 small capsicum
2 tomatoes
Salt to taste
2 table spoon tomato ketch up
1 tea spoon chilli flacks
1 tea spoon oregano
1/2 tea spoon black pepper powder
1/2 tea spoon soy sauce
2 table spoon corn flour
1 table spoon red chilli powder
1/4 tea spoon white vinegar
 
 

For filling:

100 grams paneer
1 tea spoon oil
1 capsicum dies
1 onion dies 
Salt to taste
1/2 tea spoon black pepper powder

Method to make Barbecue Sandwich:

 

For barbecue sauce:

  • Heat oil in a pan and add onion, garlic and capsicum to it. Let it cook at fast flame to give burnt effect. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes and salt, again cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Add dry spices, tomato ketch up and soy sauce. Cook for 2 minutes at medium flame and then add corn flour slurry to it. Again cook for 2 minutes and at last add white vinegar.
  • Remove from flame and cool at room temperature. 
  • Churn it to smooth paste and keep a side.

For filling:

  • Mix all ingredients of filling in a pan and keep a side for 10 minutes.
  • Sauté in non stick pan for 5 minutes.

How to assemble Barbecue Sandwich:

  • Apply butter on both sides of bread. Now spread barbecue sauce over it and then place filling over it. Spread a cube of grated cheese and at last cover with another slice of bread.
  • Repeat the same for remaining.
  • Grill till crisp.
  • Serve Barbecue sandwich hot.
  • If grilling toaster is not available, it can be done on non stick griddle also.
