Preparation time - 15 to 20 minutes

Air fryer cooking time - 20 minutes/batch (approx)

Ingredients to make Air Fried Bread Roll:

Outer layer:

4 slices bread

(I took sourdough bread)

Oil for brushing

For stuffing:

2 medium size potatoes

1/4 cup par boiled green peas

1 teaspoon oil

1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies

1 medium size finely chopped onion

A hand full of chopped coriander

Salt to taste

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon garam masala powder

1 teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder

To serve with:

Tomato ketchup

Green chutney

Method to make Air Fried Bread Roll:

For stuffing:

  • Wash and boil potatoes.
  • Par boiled green peas.
  • In a non stick pan add oil and cumin seeds. When they crackles add green chillies and finely chopped onion. Cook until onion turns transparent.
  • At this stage add all dry spices and some coriander leaves.
  • Mix well and cook for a movement.
  • At last add mashed/grated boiled potatoes and green peas to it.
  • Mix properly and let it cool at room temperature.

How to assemble:

  • Make equal sized balls from stuffing.
  • Take some water in a plate and soak bread in it for just 10 to 15 seconds. Press gently and place a stuffing ball over it. Try to seal it gently and make round or ovel roll from it. Make sure to seal edges properly.
  • You can take normal bread but as I wanted healthier version I took sourdough bread. Even I trimmed the edges of bread. That also you can avoid.
  • Repeat the same for remaining.
  • Brush the air fryer linner with oil and place bread rolls over it. Again brush/spray bread rolls with oil.
  • Place container in air fryer and air fry for 10 minutes at 200 degree celsius.
  • Turn around and again air fry for 10 to 12 minutes at 200 degree celsius.
