3 tablespoon ghee

2 tablespoon cashew

2 tablespoon almonds

Rock salt/sendha namak to taste

1 to 2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper powder

Red chilli powder (opt)

Method to make Makhana Chevdo:

First of all dry roast makhana. I roasted them in microwave. Roast them at 30 seconds interval. Don't forget to toss between every interval. Roasting time may different.

Let them cool at room temperature.

In a pan/kadhai add ghee. When hot add almonds and fry them until light brown. Transfer in a bowl.

Repeat same for cashews.

Sprinkle fasting salt and black pepper powder over it. Mix well.

Add roasted makhana to kadhai & again roast in ghee for about 2 minutes. Sprinkle fasting salt and black pepper powder over it.

Add ready cashew and almonds to it.

Mix well.

Let them cool at room temperature.

Store in air tight container.

Quick and healthy Makhana Chevdo is ready to serve.

Tips:

As this is a fasting recipe, I did not add turmeric powder to it. You can add it.

You can also add amchur powder and powder sugar to it.
