Grandma's Secret: HowBarfi to Make Perfect Besan Barfi (Without the Pressure)

Preparation time : 5 to 7 minutes 

Loose Besan Barfi

Cooking time - 10 to 12 minutes 

Ingredients to make Loose Besan Barfi:

1/2 cup ghee

( I used cow ghee)

1 cup besan

3/4 cup caster sugar 

1 tablespoon roughly crushed almonds 

1 tablespoon roughly crushed pistachio 

1 teaspoon freshly ground cardamom powder 

For garnishing:

Roughly crushed almonds, cashews, pistachio 

Chironji or Cuddapah almond

Cardamom seeds 

Cardamom powder 



Method to make Loose Besan Barfi:

In a thick bottom pan heat ghee and add besan to it. Roast it at slow flame untill it releases nice aroma. 

Remove from flame and stir for 3 to 4 minutes. Now it's time to add caster sugar and roughly crushed nuts to it.

Mix well and at last add cardamom powder to it. 

Again mix well and transfer it to an air tight container.

Let it cool for minimum 30 minutes and then sprinkle garnishing over it. Press slightly and again let it cool for 2 to 3 hours. 

Super delicious Loose Besan Barfi is ready to serve. 

Tips:

This besan barfi can be served warm also. 

You can heat a portion of Loose Besan Barfi in microwave.
