Mayo Dabeli

Recipe By Naiya Sheth: After making of Dabeli, Dabeli Sandwich, Crispy Dabeli Toppings and Dabeli rolls, now it's time to make Mayo Dabeli. As the name indicates it's a creamy version of dabeli with mayonnaise. It's really very delicious and the main thing is method is almost same as regular dabeli. So, let's start making Mayo Dabeli.


Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 15 to 20 minutes
Makes 4 Dabelis

Ingredients to make Mayo Dabeli:

For dabeli:


4 dabeli buns
Butter as needed

For stuffing:


3 to 4 boiled and mashed potatoes
1 teaspoon garlic paste
Salt to taste
2 tablespoon pomegranate seeds
2 tablespoon dabeli masalo
2 tablespoon roughly crushed peanuts
1 to 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoon sweet chutney
1 onion finely chopped
1 tablespoon oil
4 tablespoon mayonnaise
Sev as needed

To serve with:


Tomato ketchup


Method to make Mayo Dabeli:

  • In a small pan add oil and when it's hot add finely chopped onion and garlic paste to it. Now cook till transparent. When ready add dabeli masala and salt to it. Add mashed potatoes to it. Mix well and cook for 1/2 minutes.
  • Let them cool at room temperature. Now add coriander, pomegranate seeds and peanuts to it.
  • Keep aside.

How to assemble Mayo Dabeli:

  • Cut dabeli buns from the middle, try to avoid one side from cutting.
  • Apply some mayonnaise on inner sides of buns and fill with ready dabeli stuffing.
  • Apply some butter on outer sides and shallow properly at medium flame. 
  • Repeat the same for remaining.
  •  Cover with sev, coriander and pomegranate seeds.
  • Creamy and delicious Mayo Dabeli is ready to eat.
