Winter is here again. It is said that winter is a perfect time to build energy for whole year. And to fight with this beautiful winter I have a very nice, delicious and healthy home made recipe. It is made from some very special Indian spices and of course very special milk and ghee - clarified butter. So enjoy the recipe of Goond pak.
Preparation time - 15 to 20 minutes
Cooking time - 20 to 25 minutes
2 table spoon ganthola powdre
1/2 cup roughly crushed almonds

Ingredients to make Goondh Pak:
50 ml ghee - clarified butter
50 gram dry edible gum
500 ml. milk
100 grams sugar or misri
1/4 cup poppy seeds - khusu khus
4 to 5 table spoon dry ginger powder - soonth powder
1/4 cup grated dry coconut
Method to make Goondh Pak:
- Heat ghee in a pan and roast goond in it. It will increase double in size. Roast till light brown in color.
- Now add milk to it and cook at medium flame. It will curdle after some time. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes and then add sugar.
- Let the water burn at medium flame. Now add poppy seeds, soonth powder and ganthola powder to it. Mix well.
- At last add coconut and almond powder to it. Mix well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Hot and healthy but delicious Goondh Pak is ready to eat. You can store it in refrigerator for 10 to 15 days.
Tips:
- For better result make soonth powder and ganthola powder at home.
- Proportion of spices can be added or reduced as per the taste.
- Instead of milk water can be added. But personally I like it with milk.
