Recipe by Naiya Sheth: We Gujarati peoples are very fond of Farsan - snacks. And Khandvi is a very interesting and healthy snack made from gram flour - chana no lot (besan). In the earlier recipe, we made khandvi in the microwave. It is easy to cook khandvi in the microwave, then cooking it on the flame. But now here is the easiest method to make this very popular Gujarati Farsan. I think a beginner also can make it with this homemade recipe. So enjoy the easy recipe of khandvi in the pressure cooker.

Ingredients to make Khandvi Easily:
1 cup gram flour
1 tablespoon refined flour
1/2 cup curd
1 1/2 cup water
Salt to taste
A pinch turmeric powder
1 tablespoon chopped green chillies
1 teaspoon crushed ginger
For tempering:
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
2 to 3 pieces dry red chillies
A pinch asafoetida
For garnishing:
Chopped coriander
Red chilli powder
Method to make Khandvi Easily:
- Mix all ingredients in a big bowl and blend properly.
- Place it in a pressure cooker and allow to blow 8 whistles.
- Give rest for 2 to 3 minutes and then release hot air from the pressure cooker.
- Mix properly, and spread carefully over greased platform or plate. Try to spread a thin layer.
- Cut and roll them.
- Place them on a serving plate and sprinkle some red chilli powder over it.
For tempering:
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds in it. When it crackles add sesame seeds and asafoetida to it. Mix well and pour over placed khandvi.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Delicious Khandvi is ready to serve.
