Recipe By Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Cheesy Palakh Paneer Pakoda. Yes! it's very testy version of palakh - spinach recipe. This is a very interesting farsan recipe. Because we Gujaratis are very fond of farsan - fried snack. In earlier recipe we learn to make methi pakoda and mix pakoda, but this is different. In this home made recipe of Cheesy Palakh Paneer Pakoda we are trying to make it little more healthy by adding spinach, coriander and fresh fenugreek leaves.
It contains cheese and paneer means calcium rich also. The plus point of this pakoda is that it can be made earlier and just fry at the time of serving. Ingredients to make Cheesy Palakh Paneer Pakoda:
For stuffing:
1/2 cup crumbled paneer
1/4 cup grated cheese
1 tea spoon finely chopped green chillies
1/2 tea spoon red chilli powder
Salt to taste
1 table spoon finely chopped coriander leaves
For outer layer:
1/2 cup besan - gram flour
1/2 cup water
Salt to taste
A pinch turmeric powder
1 table spoon oil
4 to 5 green chilies finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped spinach
1/4 cup finely chopped fenugreek leaves
1 table spoon finely chopped coriander leaves
Oil for frying
To serve with:
Tomato ketch up
Method to Make Cheesy Palakh Paneer Pakoda:
For stuffing:
- Mix all ingredients of stuffing and make equal size small balls from it. Be careful while adding salt.
- Keep a side covered.
For outer layer:
- In a bowl add gram flour, salt, oil, turmeric powder and water, blend properly.
- Cook the above mixture at medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Let it thick. Stir properly.
- When thick remove from flame and let it cool at room temperature.
- When cool add remaining ingredients excluding oil. Mix well. Make equa size balls from it as same in number as stuffing balls.
How to assemble:
- Take some oil in palm and then take a outer ball in hand, flatten it and stuff cheese mixture in it. Now roll it properly and keep a side. Make sure to seal properly.
- Repeat the same for remaining.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry pakodas in it at medium flame.
- When ready drain over absorbent kitchen tissue.
- Serve hot Cheesy Palakh Paneer Pakoda with tomato ketch up.
