How to Make Delhi Chaat

Learn how to make Delhi chaat. Now it's summer time. Masti time - chaat time!

So here it's a home made recipe for Delhi chaat. A stomach feeling chaat recipe. It can be served with left over dahi vada also. Lots of chutneys and crispies. So enjoy this cool chaat - Delhi Chaat for single dinner or snacks.




Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time 10 minutes
Makes - 2 plates



Ingredients to make Delhi chaat:


8 dahi vadas 
15 to 20 roughly crushed masala crispies
2 cup thick curd
2 table spoon sweet chutney
1 1/2 table spoon green chutney
1 medium potato boiled
1/4 cup boiled kabuli chana
1 table spoon sugar
Salt to taste
1 tea spoon red chili powder
1 tea spoon roasted cumin powder
1/2 tea spoon chaat masala
1/4 tea spoon black pepper powder


For garnishing:


Masala bundi
Sev


Method to make Delhi chaat:
  • Make dahi vada as per recipe. Soak in water and squeeze out excess water from it. 
  • Add sugar and salt to curd and whisk properly.
How to assemble Delhi Chaat:
  • Arrange 4 dahi vadas in a serving plate, place roughly crushed  masala crispies over it. 
  • Spread chopped boiled potatoes and boiled kabuli chana over it.
  • Spread whisked curd over it. 
  • Now spread sweet and green chutney over it.
  • Apply masala bundi, sev and coriander over it. 
  • After all sprinkle red chili powder, black pepper powder, cumin powder and chat masalo over it.
  • Repeat the process for another plate.
  • Cool tempting Delhi chat is ready to serve.
Tips:
  • If dahi vadas are not available besan pakodas can be used. For that make thick bater with the help of gram flour,salt, green chilies and soda bi carb and make big pakodas. Soak fo just 2 minutes and squeeze out excess water.
