How to make Jam Sandwich Cake

Learn how to make Jam Sandwich Cake. Normally we are having jam sandwich for breakfast or snacks. Here it's a homemade recipe for sandwich which can be served for desert also. Surprised! Actually it's a vanilla flavor cake with the filling of jam.

This cool sandwich cake can be served for breakfast as well as desert also. So enjoy the different egg less cake recipe.

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Baking time - 25 minutes
Makes - 150 grams approx.



Ingredients to make Jam Sandwich Cake:


1/2 cup refined flour
1/2 tea spoon baking soda
1/4 tea spoon soda bi carb
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup powder sugar
1/4 tea spoon vanilla essence
3/4 to 1 cup mix fruit jam
Icing sugar for dusting
Milk


Method to make Jam Sandwich Cake:

  • Beat jam and keep aside.
  • Sift flour, baking powder and soda bi carb 2 to 3 times. Keep aside.
  • Beat butter and sugar together properly. Now add 1/4 cup jam and vanilla essence to it and beat again. 
  • Add flour mixture to it and pour milk for dropping consistency.
  • Pour the mixture in a greased and dusted cake tin. 
  • Bake for 25 minutes at 180`c temp. in preheated oven.
  • When done remove from oven and let it cool at cooling rack.
  • When cool divide the cake horizontally into 2 parts. Soak with plane water or sugar syrup. Apply jam over upper part of lower layer. And place the upper layer carefully over it.
  • Dust with icing sugar.
  • Yummy and different Jam Sandwich Cake is ready to serve.
Tips for Jam Sandwich Cake:
  • Any flavor of jam can be used.
  • Mixing of jam in the cake before baking can be avoided. It will maintain sugar.
