Serves - 4 person
Ingredients to make Alu Methi:
1 kilo fresh fenugreek leaves ( methi) - finely chopped
1 table spoon oil
3 to 4 whole dry red chilies
1/4 tea spoon asafoetida
2 tea spoon chopped garlic
3 to 4 boiled potatoes
1 table spoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Method to make Alu Methi:
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add red chilies, asafoedita and garlic. Saute for a minute.
- Add methi leaves, boiled potatoes, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.
- Cover and cook on medium flame till cooks and moisture evaporates.
- Hot and healthy Alu Methi is ready to serve.
- Serve hot with Indian bread - roti.
