Welcome to my kitchen! And welcome to my easy to follow microwave recipe for the classic Indian dish named Palak Paneer. This nutritious & flavourful recipe combines the goodness of spinach/palak with rich and creamy paneer/cottage cheese.

Palak Paneer in Microwave


Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 8 minutes
Serves - 4 person

Ingredients to make Palak Paneer:

250 gram paneer 
1 cup palak pure
1 cup tomato pure
1/2 cup finely chopped onion 
1/2 tea spoon crushed garlic
1/2 tea spoon crushed ginger
2 tea spoon crushed green chilly
1 tea spoon cumin seeds
1 tea spoon garam masalo
2 tea spoon oil
Salt to taste

For garnishing:

Paneer 
  or 
Fresh cream

Method to make Palak Paneer:

  • In a microwave proof bowl mix oil, cumin seeds, onion, green chilly, garlic and ginger. Cook for 3 - 4 minutes at MICRO HI. stir well.
  • Add palak pure and again cook for 2 minutes at MICRO HI. Mix well.
  • Now add tomato pure, paneer and other spices and cook for 2 minutes at MICRO HI.
  • Garnish with paneer or fresh cream. Hot and delicious Palak Paneer is ready to serve. 
  • Serve it with roti, naan, paratha or kulcha or even steamed rice.
Tips:
  • Cooking time may be differ by make of microwave. Adjust the cooking time accordingly for your microwave to ensure the best result. 
  • For blanching palak in microwave add sufficient water in a big bowl of palak and cook for 2 minutes at MICRO HI.
