Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Learn how to make Bhel from bread. Bhel is very well known known Indian fast food. Here in this recipe there is a little twist, it is made from bread in stead of puffed rice.
You can use multy grain bread or whole wheat bread also for healthier recipe. This recipe can be prepared for break fast also because it is easy and quick to make and very testy.
Preparation time - 5 minutes
Cooking time - 3 minutes
Serves - 4 persons
2 table spoon boiled and chopped potatoes
2 table spoon chopped cucumber
2table spoon chopped onion
2 table spoons chopped tomato
2 table spoon chopped beat root
3 -4 chopped green chilies
1/2 cup finely chopped coriander
8 - 10 nos. bhel puri
2 tea spoon lemon juice
1/2 cup sev
Salt to taste
1 tea spoon chaat masalo
For garnishing:
Pomegranate seeds
Chopped coriander
Sev
Bundi
Bhel puri

8 slices bread2 table spoon boiled and chopped potatoes

Method to make Bread Bhel:
- Remove sides of bread and toast them in toaster. Cut them in small size and keep a side.
- In another bowl mix potato,onion, tomato, beat root, chilly, salt, chaat masalo, lemon juice, roughly crushed bhel puri and sev together. Mix well.
- Now add bread pieces in it and mix properly.
- Garnish with coriander, bhel puri, sev and pomegranate seeds.
- Quick and healthy Bread Bhel is ready to serve.
Tips:
- crispy bread will enhance the taste of this recipe.
- Always mix bread, sev and bhel puri at the time of serving only to avoid soggy bhel.
- You can make it more healthy by adding sprouted beans.
