Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake in Microwave

Recipe by Naiya Sheth: Yummy Spongy Vanilla Sponge Cake in the microwave. In bakery food chocolate and vanilla flavor are most favorite. Early we made chocolate cake in the microwave, and now it's time to make Vanilla Sponge Cake in the microwave. It takes 4 minutes to cook. So, I can say I made an eggless vanilla Sponge cake in less than 15 minutes with preparations. Let's proceed.

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 4 minutes
Makes one small sponge

Ingredients to make Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake in Microwave:

1 cup refined flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 tablespoon curd 
1/2 teaspoon soda bi carb
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup+ 2 tablespoon powder sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
odorless oil or butter for greasing

Method to make Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake in Microwave:

  • Sieve flour and baking powder together and keep aside.
  • In another bowl mix curd and soda bi carb. Mix well with whisker and keep aside.
  • Again in one more bowl add melted butter, sugar, vanilla essence and 1/4 cup hot water. Whisk properly. 
  • Take a 6" dia. microwave-safe bowl and grease it. Place the greaseproof paper on it and again grease it.

  • Mix all three mixture in a single bowl and mix well to make smooth better.
  • Pour mixture in a greased bowl and tap once or twice.
  • Cook in the microwave for 4 minutes at high temperature. Check and if needed cook for 30 seconds again.
  • When ready remove from microwave and cool for minimum 5 minutes. 
  • Then unmould and use as required.
  • Loosen the ages with a knife if needed.
  • Quick and easy Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake is ready in Microwave.
