Rakshabandhan - Rakhi Special Recipe Choco Floats with Rabdi

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make Choco Floats with Rabdi. Rakshabandhan - the bond of protection is mainly observed in India. It is celebrated on the purnima-full mun of shravan month. Rakshabandhan- Rakhi is the celebration of the relationship between brothers and sisters. It is calles rakhi purnima also. It is mainly observed by Hindus, Sikhs and some Muslims. Basically it's a ceremony of tying rakhi - sacred thread by sister on her brother's wrist. It shows the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well being. On the other hand it's brother's commitment to protect her.
 At the time of tying rakhi sisters are use to give some sweet to his brother. Here for this rakhi we are going to make Choco Floats with Rabdi. It is very delicious and easy to make. If rabdi is ready it is very quick to make it. 


Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 25 to 30 minutes

Ingredients to make Choco Floats with Rabdi:

For Rabdi:

Rabdi - 1 recipe

For Floats:

150 grams paneer-cottage cheese
3 to 4 tea spoon icing sugar
1 table spoon cocoa powder
1 table spoon drinking chocolate powder
3 to 4 drops ice cream essence

For garnishing:

Saffron

Method to make Choco Floats with Rabdi:

For Rabdi:

  • Make rabdi as the direction and keep in refrigerator.

For Floats:

  • Mix icing sugar in paneer and mix well. Rub with hand to make it smooth.
  • Make 2 parts from it, in one part add ice cream essence and add cocoa powder and drinking chocolate powder to another part.
  • Make equal size balls from each part. 
  • Make chocolate ball and cover it with white portion. Repeat the same for remaining. Keep in refrigerator for 30 minutes.

How to assemble:

  • Divide each ball from middle. Pour chilled rabdi in a serving plate. Place balls on the rabdi and garnish with saffron.
  • Serve chilled Choco Floats with Rabdi to the guest as desert.
