Masala Vada

Recipe by Naiya Sheth : Learn how to make delicious spicy masala vada. This a healthy and spicy version of Indian popular bhajiyas. As it is made out of chana dal it is protein rich and it contains lots of green vegetable so spicy masala vada  gives so many vitamins and fibers also.

Preparation time - 20 minutes
Cooking time - 10 minutes


Ingredients to make masala vada:


Chana dal
:
1 ½ cups
Onion (finely chopped)
:
1 cup
Carrot (grated)
:
½ cup
Capsicum (finely chopped)
:
¼ cup
Mint leaves
:
2 table spoon
Coriander leaves
:
4 table spoon
Green chillies(crushed)
:
5 -6
Ginger(crushed)
:
½ tea spoon
Oil to deep fry


Salt to test




 Method to make masala vada:
    MDH Dahi Vada Raita
  1. Soak the chana dal in water for 3 -4 hours.
  2. Grind the dal to a course paste with very little water.
  3. Add finely chopper onion, grated carrot, finely chopped capsicum,mint leaves,coriander leaves, chilly pest, ginger pest and salt to test in ground pest. Mix well.
  4. Take some dal mixture in your palm, shape into a ball and deep fry in hot oil,until golden and crispy.
  5. Serve hot  masala vada with tomato sauce and fried green chillies.
